Terms of Service
Effective date: 17 October 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Clip-It local TikTok uploader (the “Service”), provided by Clip-It (“Clip-It”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) in England.
By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to donnie404333@gmail.com.
1. The Service
Clip-It helps you select local video files, create posting text from filenames, and upload videos to TikTok through TikTok’s approved APIs. Clip-It does not own, control, or operate TikTok.
The Service may depend on TikTok account access, API availability, account permissions, and TikTok policies. TikTok may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue its services at any time.
2. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Having the right to upload and publish every video, image, sound, caption, hashtag, and other material you use.
- Reviewing filename-generated captions, descriptions, and hashtags before enabling public posting.
- Ensuring your content complies with TikTok’s rules and applicable law.
- Keeping your computer, application credentials, and TikTok account secure.
- Using the Service only for lawful purposes.
- Obtaining any permissions, licences, or consents required for your content and its publication.
3. Public posting
If you configure Clip-It for public posting, videos may become visible to the public on TikTok. You are responsible for confirming the audience, caption, description, hashtags, and video content before publishing.
Clip-It cannot guarantee that TikTok will publish a video, preserve its metadata, or keep a post publicly available. TikTok may reject, restrict, moderate, remove, or otherwise change a post under its own policies.
4. TikTok account and third-party terms
Your use of TikTok remains subject to TikTok’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and other applicable TikTok policies.
You authorize Clip-It to use your TikTok connection only for the actions you request. You may revoke that authorization through your TikTok account settings.
5. Prohibited use
You must not use Clip-It to:
- Upload content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, abusive, harmful, or unauthorised.
- Circumvent TikTok’s security, rate limits, moderation, or account restrictions.
- Spam, harass, impersonate, or mislead others.
- Distribute malware or interfere with the Service or another person’s systems.
- Use another person’s TikTok account or credentials without permission.
6. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every computer, or continued access to TikTok APIs.
7. Intellectual property
Clip-It and its original software, branding, and documentation belong to Clip-It or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Clip-It or of your content to either party.
You retain responsibility for and ownership of content you upload, subject to any rights you grant to TikTok or other third parties.
8. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee successful TikTok publication or any particular result.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clip-It will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages arising from your use of the Service, including failed uploads, public posts, account restrictions, deleted content, or changes to TikTok’s services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Ending use
You may stop using Clip-It at any time by uninstalling it, deleting its local data, and revoking its TikTok authorization. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if continued operation is not reasonably possible.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service changes or when required by law. We will post the updated version at this URL and change the effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
