This Privacy Policy explains how Clip-It (“Clip-It”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), based in England, handles information when you use the Clip-It local TikTok uploader (the “Service”).

1. What the Service does
Clip-It is a local uploader that lets you select video files from a folder on your computer, derive a caption, description, and hashtags from each filename, and send the video and associated text to TikTok for publication through TikTok’s approved APIs.
2. Information we handle
Depending on how you use the Service, Clip-It may handle:
- Your TikTok account identifier and public profile information made available through TikTok Login.
- An authentication token supplied by TikTok so the Service can act on your behalf.
- Video files that you select for upload.
- Video filenames and text generated from those filenames, including captions, descriptions, and hashtags.
- Upload status, error messages, and basic local activity logs needed to prevent duplicate uploads and troubleshoot failures.
- Messages you send to us by email.
Clip-It is designed to process selected files locally on your computer before sending the relevant video and posting text to TikTok. We do not intentionally collect unrelated files from your computer.
3. How we use information
We use information only to:
- Authenticate your TikTok account.
- Upload and publish videos at your direction.
- Generate captions, descriptions, and hashtags from video filenames.
- Track upload status and avoid accidental duplicate uploads.
- Provide support and respond to enquiries.
- Protect the Service and comply with applicable law.
4. TikTok
When you connect TikTok, TikTok processes your information under its own privacy policy and terms. Videos and posting text sent through the TikTok Content Posting API may become publicly visible when you choose public posting.

5. Storage and security
Authentication credentials and local logs should be stored on your computer and protected using the security features of your operating system. We do not intentionally store your videos or TikTok credentials on Clip-It servers.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your computer and keeping credentials confidential.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Service, including with TikTok when you authorize a post, or when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.
7. Retention and deletion
Videos remain in the folders you choose until you move or delete them. Local upload logs and tokens remain on your computer until you delete them or uninstall/reset the Service.

8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the Service if you are under the minimum age required by applicable law or TikTok’s terms.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service changes or when required by law. We will post the updated version at this URL and change the effective date.
